The Australian Poets Festival 2016 is a new, ambitious, provocative, inspiring and engaging festival series in which Australian Poetry partners with Australia's major capital city literary, poetry and emerging writer festivals. In a single national touring program, the APF presents the best and brightest of Australian poetry talent. The APF's sessions, developed in full partnership within an overall festival program for that city, have been thoughtfully curated to celebrate and support the art form's diversity of voices and genres. Experimental. Blak. Lyrical. Performance. Elders. Prominent. Youth. All Abilities. Academic. Non Academic. Emerging. Culturally Diverse. Local. Interstate. International.
The Australian Poets Festival launches 20 February 2016 with the Perth Writers Festival 2016 and the inaugural Blak & Bold Festival, the Victorian Indigenous Literary Festival 2016, Melbourne.
